Sam Bishop, of Soquel, CA. proudly displays a 33" Striper he caught last month on a tan & white #2 Clouser while fly fishing the surf in Monterey Bay near Watsonville. He writes, "This is not a salmon or steelhead, but will send it anyway. I have personally never heard of anyone catching a Striper this big while fly fishing the surf."
In my estimation it is worth posting, just to show the diversity of large fish that can be caught by fly fisherman. Thanks Sam
