This version of the Geeen Butt Skunk was tied by Oregon fly tyer William Lovelace for a his series Creativity in Fly Tying: Varying the Approach to Tying the Same Fly with Different Materials and Styles. (which see).
Bill's Notes: "Using floss for a streamlined body can help a fly sink faster. Using Fluorescent floss instead of hackle fibers for the tail is a Dave McNeese tip. He thinks it may provide a visual hot spot on the fly that may attract a fish from greater distance."
